New Baby!

We have some exciting news! We are getting a baby boy in a few weeks! Okay, it's not what you think, we are getting a new puppy in a few weeks. He is 2 weeks old, so we can't get him until after christmas, but we are really excited. He is a little bulldog puppy with a white head, a tan colored body with a mark on his back that looks like a bow tie.

I have wanted one for several years and the week after christmas I get to bring my new baby boy home. We still haven't came up with a name yet for him, we are still working on that. Brayden wants to name him Bucksnort, since there is a town in TN named that. He thinks that would be sooo funny. I do not however. So, we will except any cute name suggestions.

Can you find him in the picture? White head, bow tie on back, trying to get close to his mom.

Bryan's Birthday

This weekend we celebrated Bryan's birthday! He is the Big 32!! We had a great time being with family and friends. A good friend of ours gave Bryan this hat. For those that know Bryan well, know that this fits him perfectly. He is such a goof ball & was quick to put on his new hat & strike one of his famous faces. We love him and his great sense of humor. We have really missed having him around all the time and have sooooo much fun when he is home with us. We can't wait until he is with us everyday making us laugh all the time.

Bryce's 1st tooth!

The long awaited day finally arrived for Bryce on Thur. Oct. 30th. Since I just started my blog your late getting Bryce's BIG news. Sorry. Bryce was really excited, but very nervous about his tooth. He discovered that it was loose on a Monday and was very excited. He will be 8 in a few months and had never lost a tooth, yet. All of his friends started loosing them about 6 and this really bothered him. He felt like he was missing out on something really important I guess. So he was pretty excited about it FINALLY being loose. By Wed. night he was in tears because it hurt to eat or swallow (because it was barely hanging on and would pull when he would try to drink or eat). He wouldn't let me pull it, so he went to bed hungry. Thur. morning he got up and was starving, but still couldn't eat. By 9 am. he was dying so he decided 1st that I should take him to the dentist for the dentist to help him. When he figured out I was NOT taking him, since I could do that same thing the dentist would do, he gave in and let me pull it. When I tied the string around his tooth he yelled out in pain. But when I pulled it he didn't even know it came out. I am so thankful that it came out easily, because I was really nervous about pulling it. This was my first time to ever pull a tooth, so it was new for both of us. He is so excited that it is out, and keeps sticking his tongue in the hole. He thinks it is pretty cool. We are growing up! In a few months he gets baptised. Can you believe that! Time really does go by fast. All though it doesn't seem like it at times when you are going through the WONDERFUL 3's & 4's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween Fun!

We had alot of fun at Halloween. Besides Christmas, Halloween is my favorite holiday. I usually make costumes for everyone, but the kids had different ideas this year. The boys wanted to be their favorite thing. Can you guess what that is?
The girls costumes I just love!!! I had bought 2 angel costumes, but could only find wings and a hallo for one of them. Well, we were in TN a few weeks ago and at a consignment shop they had the cutest costume, that fits Savanah so well. She loved it and wanted to buy it. How could I resist? The girls look adorable and even won the costume contest. I think it is just toooo fitting for their personalities. What do you think?

Well, I better add a picture of Savanah since she isn't in the other picture. The boys did not want her to have a homeschool shirt, since she goes to preschool, but I just didn't feel right about that. So, after everyone went to bed I made her a shirt also. Which now turns out to be a good thing since she is joining our school. Here is our little cutie, Savanah.

I'm New!

Okay, so I finally created a blog. My friends from TN wanted me to start a blog when we moved, but I have been extremely busy setting up our house, being a single mom (since Bryan is still working in TN) and homeschooling. Life is fun but extremely busy to say the least. I love it hear in Texas, but miss Bryan terribly. We have an awesome house, great neighbors, an awesome new ward, and family near by. Life is great! I have 4 kids that keep me running and I am learning everyday how to be a homeschooling mom. I am really starting to LOVE it, but of course still have a few hard days here and there. The boys love to homeschool and wouldn't have it any other way. The girls are in preschool (Sierra 2 days a week and Savanah 4 days a week) but are starting to think they want to homeschool because they feel (especially Savanah) that they are missing out on things we are doing at home. So I am diving in at the end of the month and will be officially homeschooling all 4 kids. I am really excited because I just bought this new book about Family Scripture study and we will start each day with this book. So my kids will really know the scriptures and the gospel. How awesome is that! So I will try to keep you updated on our adventures with homeschooling.
If I can figure this out, since I am new to this, I will post a picture of our T-Shirts we made for our school. The boys decided they wanted to go on a field trip to the pumpkin patch since Savanah's preschool went. BUT, we also needed field trip t-shirts since Savanah's school had them. So, I decided this would be fun, we would just make our own. So the boys picked out black t-shirts and I ironed on "Ardis Academy" on the front. On the back the boys painted their name and also painted a picture of things they love on the back. They turned out so cute. I am proud of our school name "Ardis Academy".
